Plan Kya Hai?
March 7th, 2009 — Bakar, Friends of MML
Sauarbh “free source supporter” Yadav had this as his status message…
is para baingan. Beat that para kaddu, you sf aspirant. B silent hai. Main nahin hoon. Tu bhi mat reh, achha naagrik ban, mat de. Tiffin le. Pyaar de. Shobha de. Nahin de rahi. Koi baat nahin, apna haath jaganaath. Chal ab haath dho. Paani thanda hai? Khana garam hai. Mummy ka dil naram hai. Paisey maangney main kya sharam hai. Sharma ko sharam hai. A silent hai. Koi baat nahi thek ho jayega. Phir itni tez bolega, Google maps kholega. Ek ghantey baad potty se dho ke niklega aur bolega “Plan kya hai?”
He certainly deserves an honour badge for this.

Pink Floyd - Time
February 12th, 2009 — Mortals and Life
A friend recommended this song. I cant really make much sense of English Rock music but the lyrics make a lot of sense. Very apt. Especially the highlighted words.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the wayTired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gunAnd you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to deathEvery year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way
The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I’d something more to sayHome, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

Futility of the Blip on Radar.
February 11th, 2009 — Mortals and Life
One fine day, when Mother Earth is going about its revolutions and rotations, the birds are trying to hunt for birdseed, millions of men and women would be running around doing meaningless work, trying to justify their jobs and existence, someone on the radar, a blip would flash brilliantly. And then it will fade away. To oblivion.
All the meaningless things (read cribbing, working, blogging, traveling, sleeping, walking, talking, writing, reading, justifying, even thinking) that we humans engage in, trying to follow the crowd, in hopes of leading the pack someday are futile. We are just trying to while away time. And mind, the machine needs constant motion. It needs some cranks, something or the other keep itself occupied. We oil it by indulging in mental masturbation. It takes different shapes for different people. Some people play cricket, some create companies, some donate their money, some are left in oblivion, some think they think what they are thinking and the things that they think and not really worth thinking, some travel, some sleep and many dream. Most work. Without realizing the futility. Of being just a blip on radar.

Not your regular Nemo Monkey?
February 11th, 2009 — Team MML
Apart from the usual suspects of the Team MML, Nemo Monkey would be the guest contributor to the MML Blog. He would occasioanly contribute his insights on way, why and how people spend their lives running scared of their bosses and wives, tips on how to win friends and influence people (no, not the Dale Carnegie types), how not to send private emails and last but not the least, how to kill time and appear busy while in office. And obvisouly, he has all the freedom to talk about anything that he wants to. After all, he is THE Nemo Monkey.
We tried to reach the coveted members at MML. nAnz, commenting on Nemo Monkey’s inclusion said “Har Har Har”. All queries to Keera were left unanswered. Suds said “I cant wait to get back to my nest”. hAwk as always said something incomprehesible. Reactions from other members were awaited till the filing of this report.
And yes, Team MML wants to assert that any correlation and/or resemblance to the notorious Nemo Monkey who was seen lurking in shadows on the third floor of the ChangeMasters or any other species is purely coincidental and unintended. And no trees and/or bananas were harmed while posting this.

Impromptu Shayar 2
October 8th, 2008 — Bakar
Another one …
Abhi kal hi ki to baat lagti hai
jab main aur tum, tum aur main
baithe rehte they sard raaton main
apne apne computers par kare camp
haath main hoti thi sniper, belt main tha grenade
room main hota tha andhera, dil main thi umang
hota tha flash bomb aane ka intezaar
c1 c1 karkay sab nikalte they ek saath
paanch hi secondon main ho jaata tha khatma
aati thi ek hi pukar har room sey baar baar
kya woh they lamhe, kya they woh din
chalo dubara mdi, even if its only ek baar?
Impromptu Shayar
October 5th, 2008 — Bakar
Yesterday I was traveling from my office to some place and it was an hour’s rick ride. I had my mobile phone and I thought, how about some improptu shayari from miyan on-the-fly shayar? I came up with two gems.
Bhai saab bhai saab.
Dekh deen duniya deti dard dho dho
Khela kala kauva kahin kabhi kabhi kho kho
Raat rahe raat raat ro ro
Mainkya mu me lo mu me lo
And the other one
Kahin door mast gagan main
Tez teekhi peeli dhoop main
Sard mausam ki masti main
Patjhad kay gire patton main
Bheegi baarish ke geele paani main
Bolo bolo kahan kahan loge
Mu main mu main mu main

May 24, 25: Awesome Weekend
May 26th, 2008 — Bakar, Team MML
I had the most perfect weekend that a girlfriendless guy can have. Full of sleep, Counter-Strike, Partying, Cricket Match, Travel, Eating, Shopping, Talking and Gyaan sessions.
- Sleep: Slept for half a day. Switched off my phone for that duration. Blissfull.
- Counter-Strike: Played CS for about 3 hours with friends from MDI at Zapak Gameplex. This is turning into a weekly thing now.
- Partying: Met people from MDI, more people from MDI and still more people. Ate out on both days and had awesome time remembering things from past.
- Cricket Match: Saw Kolkata vs Chandigarh march at Rodas. Huge screen. Awesome place. Friends boozing and pulling pranks. Awesome finish. Brilliant.
- Travel: Local mostly but well after mid-night. I love traveling at nights. When the entire world sleeps, you are on your way.
- Shopping: Long overdue bout of shopping. Only thing remaining is hunting for books. Will order online today. Saratchadra Chattopadyaya.
- Talking: Awesome conversation about history of India and how political turmoil pulled us from being the leaders of the world to a developing country.
- Gyaan session: This is where we acted as visionaries and talked about things that could make India what it was before we were invaded.
All in all a very good weekend. Hoping for more of these.
